Several years ago, our church leaders went through an evaluation process with a professional consultant. The process renewed a desire to make sure our community is a place where people feel welcomed. Since then, we have been working toward that goal with improvements like the First Impressions team, a new children's ministry area, and an upgraded Cafe area. These were just a few of the changes. Now we are addressing additional issues. These changes and additions -- like an elevator and new restrooms -- will allow us to be better stewards of our building and to create a more welcoming physical environment.

The new entrance will have clear double doors that will lead you into a foyer with a welcome center. It will be climate-controlled. From there, you will either be able to make a left into the Cafe or a right will take you to the sanctuary.

A new, wider hallway will provide access to the sanctuary. Starting at the back of the current cafe, this 9-foot wide hallway will lead into the back of the sanctuary. Along this hallway will be doors to the two new restrooms.

An elevator located in the hallway between the life group rooms and the Cafe will provide access to the second floor of our building for anyone who might not be able to navigate stairs.

Our facility consists of two buildings, currently connected only by a single door on the first floor. A new walkway will connect the two buildings on the second floor as well, and combined with the new elevator, everyone will have access to the entire facility even if they have physical limitations.

New restrooms will be added on the second floor, making it much more convenient for those involved in groups that meet in the classrooms there.

A new welcome and check-in lobby for the Children's Ministry section will be added, along with a family restroom, further enhancing this area of our church.
